Middle Hill Common is a 1.548 hectare site owned by Weston-in-Gordano Parish Council.
The habitats on the Common comprise unimproved limestone grassland, scrub and broad-leaved woodland. The grassland sward varies in height supporting a range of flowering plants and providing a varied habitat for invertebrates and butterflies.
Middle Hill Common is of great importance to the local community as a place to sit and to ride horses. The Common is well used by local people as an amenity and is also managed by local people.
Access: Weston in Gordano village is in North Somerset and is approached on the B3124. There is general access to the Common, including public footpaths and a bridleway. There is a Public Right of Way from the top of Hill Lane to Blackberry lane, this is joined on the Common by another path which comes up from the village of Weston in Gordano, starting opposite Cadbury Lane.
