Carrs Woodland Local Nature Reserve is a large area of woodland and grassland on the edge of Twerton, Bath
8 miles of former railway line between Yatton and Winscombe passing through the North Somerset Levels and Moors and into the heart of the Mendip Hills AONB.

An open expanse of common land, the last significant remaining section of the once extensive Broadfield Down – a huge area of unimproved limestone heath and unimproved calcareous, neutral and acidic grasslands.

Situated in Lawrence Weston, North Bristol, this LNR is the last remaining fragment of marshland in the city. Access from Lawrence Weston Road.
Manor Road Community Woodland is a 21 hectare Local Nature Reserve on the outskirts of Keynsham
Situated in Bishopsworth, South Bristol, this proposed LNR has a wide range of interest. Access is from St. Peter’s Rise
This 1.548 hectare Reserve supports unimproved limestone grassland, scrub and broad-leaved woodland.
This 9.15 hectare site near Clevedon is linked to Coleridge and Tennyson and consists of limestone grassland which blankets numerous archeaological features. Cliff top walks provide extensive views across the Severn estuary and the North Somerset Levels and Moors.
Situated in Eastville, East Bristol, this unusual LNR is on top of a 19th century railway viaduct. Access from Edward Street.
Silver Street Local Nature Reserve is a 2 hectare woodland and meadow near to the centre of Midsomer Norton.
A beautiful wildflower meadow bordered by the remnants of ancient woodland. A place of wildflowers, butterflies and bees, a delight to visit. Located near Winscombe, North Somerset.
Situated in Stockwood, South Bristol, this is Bristol’s largest LNR and supports a wide range of different habitats. Access from Stockwood Rd/ The Coots
Situated in St. George, East Bristol, this LNR boasts a spectacular viewpoint over the city. Access from Troopers Hill Road.
A distinctive hill top with wildflowers and fantastic views
This 17 hectare site consisting of unimproved calcareous grassland has fantastic displays of spring wildflowers and is situated close to Weston super Mare.
This 20.3 hectare reserve has salt marsh and limestone grassland with rare plants and insects and is situated just south of Uphill village, close to Weston super Mare and adjacent to the Axe Estuary.
This 130 hectare woodland site covers the ridge on the north side of Weston super Mare and is greatly valued for its recreational and landscape value as well as for the range of wildlife it supports.
